A woman named Anna Jarvis started a campaign for an official holiday honoring Mother’s in 1905.  It is an event which is celebrated in different parts of the world to express love for Mother’s.
Standard Kids celebrated Mother’s Day honoring the Mother of the family, as well as motherhood.

We started the programme with lighting of lamp followed with prayers and Saraswathi Vandanam with great enthusiasm and also conducted a small program like welcome speech, solo song, group dance by students and speech regarding Mother’s day by kids.

The programme presentation was marvelous and then the kids were given a  takeaway gift done by teachers to be presented to their Mother’s.
