Junior KG CCA-02: Clay Modelling Activity

At Standard Public School, we believe that learning extends far beyond books and classrooms. Every activity we introduce is carefully designed to nurture creativity, build confidence, and strengthen essential life skills in our little learners. One such engaging and fun-filled activity was CCA-02: Clay Modelling, conducted for our Junior KG students on 6th August 2025.

Clay modelling is much more than just playtime—it is an art form that allows children to bring their imagination to life. By moulding soft, pliable clay into various shapes such as animals, birds, food items, and even imaginative characters, children get the freedom to express their creativity in tangible form.

The session was filled with enthusiasm and joy as our tiny tots eagerly rolled, pressed, pinched, and carved the clay to create their masterpieces. With their little hands busy at work, they not only enjoyed the tactile experience but also strengthened their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration.

The classroom buzzed with excitement as each child proudly displayed their colourful creations. It was heartwarming to watch them transform simple lumps of clay into delightful forms, showcasing their unique ideas and imagination. Teachers guided and encouraged them throughout, appreciating every effort and helping them explore new possibilities.

Such activities are vital in the early years of learning, as they nurture creativity, problem-solving skills, and self-expression. More importantly, they give children the confidence to experiment and discover the joy of making something with their own hands.

The Clay Modelling Activity was a resounding success, leaving our Junior KG students beaming with happiness and accomplishment. It was truly a day of fun, learning, and creativity!
