Eid E Milad & Onam Celebration

Celebrating Diversity: Eid-e-Milad & Onam at Standard Kids.

Festivals are a beautiful way to introduce children to the rich traditions, values, and cultural diversity of our country. At Standard Kids, the spirit of joy and togetherness came alive on Thursday, 4th September 2025, as the little ones enthusiastically celebrated Eid-e-Milad and Onam with smiles, laughter, and learning.

Significance of the Festivals

Eid-e-Milad, also known as Mawlid al-Nabi, commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammed and is a festival that highlights values of love, peace, and compassion. On the other hand, Onam, the vibrant harvest festival of Kerala, is a celebration of prosperity, unity, and gratitude. By observing these two diverse festivals on the same day, our children were able to appreciate the richness of different traditions and understand the importance of harmony in a multicultural society.

A Colorful Celebration

The campus was filled with festivity as children came dressed in traditional attire, representing the cultural beauty of both occasions. Their excitement was visible as they joyfully took part in the celebrations. Songs, stories, and interactive sessions helped students learn the meaning behind the festivals in a fun and engaging way.

Lessons Beyond the Classroom

More than just a celebration, the day was a valuable learning experience. The children discovered how festivals are not only about rituals but also about the values of unity, sharing, and togetherness. By celebrating Eid-e-Milad and Onam side by side, our young learners gained an early understanding of respect for diversity and the joy of inclusivity.

The celebrations ended on a cheerful note, leaving the children with wonderful memories and important life lessons. At Standard Kids, every festival is a step towards nurturing compassionate individuals who embrace culture, tradition, and unity with open hearts.
