Pre-KG CCA-02: Paper Collage Activity

At Standard Public School, we believe that every small step in a child’s early learning journey contributes to building their confidence, imagination, and love for creativity. One such delightful step was taken on 6th August 2025, when our tiny tots from Pre-KG participated in CCA-02: Paper Collage Activity.

Collage is not just an art and craft activity—it is an engaging way for children to explore colours, shapes, and textures while strengthening their fine motor skills. By tearing, pasting, and arranging pieces of coloured paper, little learners get a hands-on opportunity to improve their focus, patience, and hand-eye coordination.

For this session, our Pre-KG students were given an outline picture of the Indian National Flag. Using saffron, white, and green coloured sheets, they carefully pasted paper pieces within the outline to create their very own flags. It was a sight filled with enthusiasm as the children excitedly tore tiny bits of paper, placed them with care, and proudly watched their creations come alive.

The activity was more than just fun—it carried a sense of patriotism and respect for the nation. As the children worked on their collages, they also learned about the three colours of the flag and their significance. This simple yet meaningful exercise beautifully blended art, learning, and values.

The joy on the children’s faces reflected their sense of achievement. Their vibrant paper flags not only decorated the classroom but also stood as a symbol of their budding creativity and love for the country. Teachers encouraged every child, appreciating their effort and guiding them to explore their ideas freely.

The Paper Collage Activity turned out to be a wonderful success, giving our Pre-KG learners an unforgettable experience of creativity, learning, and patriotism.
