SWACHHATA PAKHWADA at Standard Public School

Swachhata Pakhwada drive was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Standard Public School from 1st September to 15th September. The objective of this event was to instill a sense of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental responsibility among our students. The days observed for Swachhata Pakhwada was filled with activities that emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment. On September 1st 2023, our tiny tots of Grade I actively took a Shapath (Oath) on Swachhata Shapath Day . Students of Grade I, enthusiastically took part in oath taking etiquette. They were also briefed about Swaach Bharath Mission / Clean India, as a result the aim of the mission was to encourage people for personal cleanliness as well as for environmental cleanliness.

Cleanliness Drive: 2023

The day began with a cleanliness drive organized by the students. Our students enthusiastically participated in cleaning various areas of the school premises. Armed with brooms, dustpans, and garbage bags, they tackled littered areas and demonstrated their commitment to maintaining cleanliness.

Speech on the Significance of Swachatha Awareness Day: 2023

A significant highlight of the event was a speech delivered by one of our senior students. The speech emphasized the importance of Swachatha Awareness Day and highlighted the role that each individual can play in keeping their surroundings clean and green. Student has passionately spoke about the adverse effects of littering, pollution, and the significance of waste management and water conservation.

Poster Presentation: 2023

To instill the importance of waste management and water conservation, an informative poster exhibition was organized. Students had created eye-catching posters that beautifully depicted the impact of improper waste disposal and the need for water conservation. These posters were displayed prominently in the school auditorium, and students had the opportunity to explain the concepts to their peers.

PERSONAL HYGIENE : 2023

Personal hygiene being the action /habit /practice of keeping oneself clean, plays a major role to promote healthy living important to develop the sense of hygiene so that it influences his/her habits as well as life style imparts knowledge, but also plays a pivotal role in the development of habits overall personality of the students. Our school took up a Comprehensive 

Health Programme among the Grade III and IV students. Our teachers educated them with the below points.

  4. Cleaning Body Parts Correctly
  5. How to Trim Nails
  6. Food Washing Techniques
  7. Wearing Clean Clothes 
  8. Sleeping Hygiene
  9. Sneezing Hygiene
  10. Keeping House Clean 

Awareness on Healthy and unhealthy foods : 2023

Educating kids about good nutrition from an early age helps them create and maintain a well-balanced and healthy life. This was portrayed by Ms. Tejaswini and Ms. Archana Acharya with posters and handouts. A meaningful skit by students were performed Healthy food Vs Junk food and their advantages and disadvantages. Speech on good and balanced food was delivered by students.   

SWACCHATA PARTICIPATIONS DAYS : 2023

 Grade VIII participated in various activities during the Swachhta Pakhwada Days on the 7th and 8th of September, 2023. Competitions were conducted on essay writing, elocution quiz, painting and model making. Active participation of the students made the movement a more productive one. The topic for the speech competition was ‘Beat Plastic Pollution‘ and a quiz competition also was conducted. Overall, the campaign could evoke cleanliness awareness among the young minds.

Conclusion : 2023

Swachhata Awareness programmes were a resounding success. It not only encouraged our students to actively participate in cleanliness initiatives but also educated them about the critical role they play in preserving our environment. The combination of the cleanliness drive, the enlightening speech, and the visually impactful posters left a lasting impression on everyone present.We believe that such initiatives are essential in nurturing responsible and environmentally conscious citizens. Swachatha Awareness Day was a step forward in this direction, and we look forward to more such events that promote a cleaner, greener, and healthier future.
