Senior KG Field Trip to GKVK – A Day with Nature
At Standard Kids, we believe learning goes far beyond the classroom walls. To nurture curiosity, observation skills, and a love for nature, our Senior KG students were taken on an exciting field trip to the Mahatma Gandhi Botanical Garden (GKVK) in August 2025. The much-awaited outing turned into a joyful blend of fun and learning for our little explorers.
The field trip was thoughtfully scheduled across different dates for each section. The Senior KG Carnations and Orchids had their turn on 6th August 2025, followed by the Dahlias on 11th August 2025, and finally, the Asters and Bluebells explored the gardens on 21st August 2025. Each group set off with bright smiles and bubbling enthusiasm, eager to discover the wonders of the natural world.
As the children walked through the lush greenery of the botanical garden, their eyes lit up at the sight of towering trees, colorful flowers, chirping birds, and even tiny insects crawling on leaves. Teachers guided them in observing different species of plants and trees, encouraging questions and discussions that sparked curiosity. Every little discovery—whether it was spotting a butterfly or touching a unique leaf—was met with awe and excitement.
Beyond exploring nature, the field trip was also a lesson in discipline, teamwork, and life skills. The children learned how to walk in a line, follow instructions, and remain responsible in a public setting. These small yet valuable experiences help shape their confidence and social behavior, preparing them for the world outside.
The atmosphere throughout the day was filled with laughter, chatter, and endless wonder. Watching the students connect with nature so joyfully reminded everyone of the importance of outdoor learning. By the end of the trip, the children returned with happy hearts, fresh knowledge, and stories to share with their families.
The Senior KG field trip to GKVK was not just an outing—it was a day of exploration, bonding, and experiential learning, leaving lasting impressions on our young learners. 🌸
