80th Independence Day Celebrations at Standard Group of Schools
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at Standard Group of Schools with immense pride, patriotism, and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with a dignified Guard of Honour, followed by the ceremonial Flag Hoisting and the singing of the National Anthem. Students took the solemn pledge and reaffirmed their commitment to the values of unity, integrity, responsibility, and service to the nation. The atmosphere was filled with patriotic spirit as everyone came together to honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and celebrate the journey of our great nation.
The March Past was a spectacular display of discipline, coordination, confidence, and unity. The House contingents, Scouts and Guides, NCC, and the School Band marched with pride, led by the Head Boys, Head Girls, and House Captains. Every step reflected the spirit of teamwork and dedication instilled in our students. We were deeply honoured to welcome Mr. Kallur Devarathna Kumar, IRS (Retd.), Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, 1992 Batch, as the Chief Guest. His inspiring address encouraged our students to become responsible citizens, pursue excellence, uphold strong values, and contribute positively towards the progress of our nation.
The celebration continued with a vibrant and captivating cultural programme, showcasing the talents, confidence, and patriotic spirit of our students. The Patriotic Choir filled the air with inspiring melodies, while the NCC Sequence and Commando Drill showcased discipline, courage, strength, and teamwork. The graceful Yoga Display beautifully reflected balance, concentration, and harmony. Adding colour and energy to the celebrations, the Patriotic Group Dances by Standard Kids enthralled the audience with powerful performances celebrating the rich cultural diversity and unity of India. An engaging English Speech further highlighted the significance of Independence Day and the responsibilities of every citizen towards the nation.
A special highlight of the occasion was the Felicitation Ceremony, where students who demonstrated outstanding performance and dedication in the Board Examination 2025–26 were honoured for their Academic Excellence. Their achievements serve as an inspiration to the entire Standard Group of Schools community and remind us that determination, hard work, discipline, and perseverance are the foundations of success. The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of pride, gratitude, and responsibility towards our motherland. May our students continue to dream fearlessly, learn wholeheartedly, serve selflessly, and contribute towards building a stronger and brighter India. 🇮🇳 Jai Hind! Vande Mataram!
