“77th Independence Day Celebration at Standard Group of Schools: A Day of PatriotismUnity, and Inspiration

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with a great sense of patriotism and enthusiasm by the Standard Group of Schools. The air was filled with a great sense of love and respect for our country. The Chief Guest for the day was Vidyaratnakara Dr.N. Sathyaprakash. The National flag was hoisted by our honourable Chairman Dr. Chandrasekar sir. This was followed by the March Past by the Scouts and Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls, the NCC cadets and the four houses respectively. The Chief Guest for the day addressed the gathering which was very much an inspiring talk for the future citizens of our country. This was followed by a few cultural programs presented by the Kids section. The Standard kids depicted the national symbols and also performed a dance. It is our responsibility to instil the thought of patriotism in these young minds.

This was followed by various dance performances by the senior group and a few students spoke about the day in English, Hindi and Kannada. The choir group treated our ears with a melody of mashups apt to be sung on the 77th Independence Day celebration. The students who brought laurels to the school by securing good results in the board examinations were also honoured and applauded for their hard work and excellence along with the teachers who inspired them to reach this height. It was a great and memorable day of celebration.
